Tunesmith Tuesday - "I'm My Own Grandpa"

Originally written by Dwight Latham and Moe Jaffe and recorded by comedy duo Lonzo and Oscar, "I'm My Own Grandpa" tells the story of a man who, through an unlikely (but legal) combination of marriages, becomes stepfather to his own stepmother, and thereby (dropping the "step-" modifiers), becomes his own grandfather.

The song has been recorded dozens of times by performers like Guy Lombardo, Phil Harris, Homer and Jethro, Jo Stafford (as "I'm My Own Grandma"), The Muppets, Tom Arnold, Grandpa Jones, and Willie Nelson.

This version, by Ray Stevens, diagrams the whole, confusing thing.
