Words That Need To Be Brought Back

Every year, the Internet publishes lists of words or phrases that need to be retired.  In the minds of the authors, they are passé and out of touch with the multitudes.  Words and phrases such as “let me ask you this,” “unpack,” “impactful,” “nothingburger,” “tons,” “dish,” “drill down,” “let that sink in,” “fake news,” “pre-owned,” “woke,” “ lit,” “turnt,” “bae,” “onboarding/offboarding,” “hot water heater,” and “gig economy.”
