The Christmas Pineapple is finally up!

Some of you may wonder why we have a picture of Nicholas Cage at the top. The tradition started 5 years ago when my son Jack and I were decorating our (traditional) tree.  We'd just finished hanging all the lights and ornaments when Jackie disappeared into his room, then returned with a photo of Nicholas Cage.  He put the pic on the top of the tree, and in answer to my question (along the lines of, "Wait... what...?), he said,

"Every Christmas tree needs a star."

And thus, a new Christmas tradition was begun.
