Monday Mind Game

Two brothers have developed differences between them, and thus, have decided to part ways. The problem is that they have one big, irregularly-shaped land tract. Both brothers want an equal share, which is nearly impossible due to its odd shape.

The wisest man in the village (most likely a dad) is called to find a way in which both brothers will be happy, even though the land might not be divided into exactly equal halves.

What was his suggestion?
