This is from 2013. Eldest son William spent a semester attending the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. While there, he took a Māori studies class called MAOR108 Waiata: Te Tīmatanga, which, according to their syllabus, is "...an introductory study of various forms of waiata (Māori performing art) including haka from traditional to contemporary times."
As part of their final examination, all of the male students had to perform the Paikea Haka (the "Haka" is a traditional ancestral war cry, dance or challenge from the Māori people of New Zealand). When he came home for Thanksgiving, we convinced him to give us a private demonstration.
I'm telling you, the kid looks badass
