A Trip to Paradise!

Okay, Little Ducks, listen up! 

I've often posted pics and stories about some of my escapades as a scuba diver. Some of you have even been inspired enough by my rhapsodical ravings that you've actually gotten yourselves certified and have taken up the sport! Here's your chance for us to do some AMAZING diving together!

This February, when it's cold and nasty in most of the country, I'm going to be leading a group of 14 scuba divers to the tropical waters of the Philippines for an amazing 7-day trip!

Puerto Galera is a hub of marine biodiversity, offering some of the best diving in the Philippines. With a direct flight from Los Angeles to Manila and a bus and boat transfer, Puerto Galera is an easy dive mecca for divers in Los Angeles.

Puerto Galera's dive sites are as varied as the species you'll find there. There are walls, wrecks, tropical reefs and pinnacles all only a very short boat ride from the resort. See colorful reefs covered with tropical fish, massive barrel sponges, many species of nudibranchs, schools of batfish, trevally and barracuda, cuttlefish, seahorses, harlequin ghost pipefish and many frogfish.

Our unlimited diving package with free nitrox allows you to explore all that Puerto Galera has to offer underwater including a special day trip to the famous Verde Island where the deep pinnacle supports large schools of fish, turtles and massive sea fans. After such adrenaline rushing dives, get treated to a BBQ lunch on a private beach.

We've thought of everything, even a free 60-minute massage for every diver. Use it when you arrive at the airport to get rid of your jet lag, or after the last day of diving .. it's up to you!

We will be staying and diving with El Galleon Resort and Asia Divers. All rooms have AC, minibar and ensuite bathroom with hot water. Resort facilities include a swimming pool and jacuzzi, restaurant and bar and a massive dock making it easy to board the boat. You will never feel crowded!

Price

$2,550 and it includes:

- 7 nights accommodation in a poolside room in double occupancy. Upgrade to a seaside room for $80 per person (based on availability).

- Up to 4 day dives per day

- Free nitrox

- 1 special 2 tank day trip to Verde Island with a private beach BBQ lunch

- Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner

- 60-minute Thai/Swedish massage in the spa

- Return airfare from Los Angeles to Manila

- Return airport transfer from airport to resort

Prerequisites
Open Water certification with 20 logged dives and ownership of a dive computer. Advanced certification to dive Verde Island.

Not yet certified? Ask me about getting certified before or during the trip. Or get your Advanced certification on the trip.

Diving Conditions
The water temperatures range from the high 70s to low 80s this time of the year. A 3mm shortie should suffice or a 3mm full wetsuit is recommended if you tend to get cold.

It's the divers’ responsibility to ensure they have the proper documentation to travel to Philippines on this itinerary as well as for re-entry and return back to Los Angeles.
