Lady: Do you smoke?
Man: Yes.
Lady: How many packs a day?
Man: I’m a pretty heavy smoker. Four packs a day.
Lady: How much per pack?
Man: Ten dollars.
Lady: And how long have you been smoking?
Man: 'Bout 15 years now.
Lady: So 1 pack costs ten dollars and you have four packs a day, which means your smoking habit is costing you $1200 each month. So in one year, it would be $14,400 correct?
Man: Yeah, I guess so.
Lady: And, if in one year you spend $14,400, not accounting for inflation, in the past fifteen years, you've spent $216,000 on buying cigarettes, correct?
Man: Sounds about right.
Lady: Do you know that if you hadn't smoked, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past fifteen years, you could have now purchased a Ferrari?
Man: Hmmm. Well, let me ask YOU a question. Do you smoke?
Lady: Absolutely not!
Man: Then where's your goddamn Ferrari?
